aside to bonny: I think that L. is going to give you flyers, so if you haven't already, check in with her. I really appreciate you helping her out, since I don't know how to thank her for doing what she's doing for us.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Steph, I am so glad that your brother is in the hospital and is detoxing safely. And I'm glad he has made this step and is getting himself the long term help he needs. So much love to you and yours, Tep.
Connie - I'm so glad that DH wasn't having a heart attack and yeah - all mighters 30 years ago were way funner.
Tell him, even Tom Waits gave up drinking. Back in 1993 when his last child was born.
He and his wife want to set about making a baby (this is a recent confidence he's told me, which I am now telling the internet), and it might be that, as much as anything, that pushed him into this. He'd be the first in 3 generations to raise a child while sober. It would be a mighty thing, and I am dead serious when I say that.
I'm glad to hear everything is falling into place for your brother, Steph. What a nerve-wracking situation, but it sounds like he's finally in good hands and the relief can set in.
Heart~ma for your hubby, Connie. It seems like there's always more tests.

I'll note that Getting Sober (For Real This Time) and Having That Baby were not unrelated events in Tom Waits' life. In fact, he had bottomed out and fucked up his marriage and had to swim seriously upstream to sort it out.
Tell him: Bone Machine is fighting for sobriety. ("The Earth Died Screaming")
Mule Variations is being there. ("Come Up To the House")
And yeah, there's a reason why there are seven years between those two albums.
We get to be at the hosptial at 5:30 AM Friday morning for the angiogram Yay. But we found a theatre that's playing John Carter to go to the night before--Hubby's been wanting to see it, and I think it's worth a dollar.
If this goes like his previous few angiograms, we may be out for lunch.
and I think it's worth a dollar.
It's definitely worth a dollar.

I think that'll help him. Seriously. Thank you.
Steph, I don't know what to say, except that I am thinking of you and your brother and his wife, and glad that he is being taken care of.
Oh, Connie. Sheesh. ~ma for your DH and for you.
I enjoyed John Carter more than a dollar's worth, definitely, but lots of that was just the sheer fact of staring at Taylor Kitsch for 90 minutes.
Ice cream and strawberries: omnis, good to have greetings from Shir! I assume she is busy kicking ass and making the world a better place, as usual?
