Well, it seems she's not coming home at this point, so it'd be hard to ground her. And I'm afraid I need to leave it at that, because it's not my family business to share. Thanks to all of you for your concern and support, it helped me be there for my friend.

1st world problems... I know *ahem*ing is bad, mmm-kay, and I haven't done it in forever. But there's just no way I'm leaving the house tonight (unless I go back to my friend's house), and I don't have $15 to spend on a digital copy of a movie I may not want to watch again. And I just feel like Thor is the perfect thing to watch tonight. whinge whinge whinge
eta on further reflection I think I may just go to bed superearly. I'm feeling whiny and sorry for myself, and pretty braindead.
