To give some positive energy to the board, a couple of my friends are nominated for Tony's this year. One is an actor in Porgy & Bess, while he isn't nominated, the show is for best revival of a musical. Then a couple lighting designers, and of course Sound Designers. And lastly, the big show I worked on in Texas (Give It Up) was renamed Lysistrata Jones, and it's nominated for best book a musical. Woot.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
No-cancer ~ma, Typo, lots and lots of it.
tons tons tons of no cancer 'ma. seriously.
Sending lots of no~cancer~ma your way, TB.
Shiny, o-a! Nice to see positive recognition for efforts.
Typing in ouchy mode today again. I was super happy yesterday when I saw my foot for the first time. The nurse was delighted with the healing and it looked much better than I anticipated. Still super painful, but the pain meds were keeping it tolerable and I was a force on wheels around the house.
Was being the key word. At 5am either my phone made some noise or I dreamt it did and I popped on my rolly chair to scoot across the room where I had it charging. When I reached out get the phone the stool slid out from under me and I crashed on my tailbone. My instinct somehow kicked in and I managed to not bang my foot, but my tail and other leg HURT.
Today, not a fun day. So much for cutting back on pain killers.
Oh, Laura, damn. That really bites. I hope you didn't do any damage to your tailbone.
Beer and pizza with bosses. Tipsy, la la la.
So, my boss told me to show up at 7:30 am the first day. I've been showing up at 7:30 am (ok, shortly therafter) for the last two weeks or so. Turns out, they start work at 7 am! Nobody said anything to me, WTF. But now I know, and now I'm going to have to get up at, like, 5:45 am. Shee-it.
Tons of no-cancer~ma, Typo.
{{{Laura}}} Feel better.
The farmer's market in my new town is awesome! I didn't buy too much today because I still don't have all of my kitchen stuff unpacked. But I did get some lettuce, delicious garlicky goat cheese, and a dozen eggs.
Ugh Laura, that sounds ouchy.
I like your new job, smonster. Sounds like it is a very pleasant atmosphere.
I think the tailbone is ok; yay for padding? I iced for hours and I don't see a bruise. Of course it is a challenge to see.
A nice Farmers Market sure helps quality of life. I made awesome veggie chili yesterday, but only got less than a cup of it myself. My SIL, BIL, friend, DH, and son all loved it a bit too much. Next time bigger batch. So simple since I didn't have the capability to do much. The only chopping was the garlic cloves. Canned beans and tomatoes, frozen spinach, and a bunch of spice tossed in the slow cooker. I was too tired to eat any last night so I only had pot scrapings today.
Glad your tailbone is okay, Laura! Ouch. Just keep that leg moving a little, swing it gently and move your ankle or wiggle your toes if you can, just to keep the blood moving. Completely immobile is a bad thing.
Eek, that sounds ouchy Laura! Hope it heals quickly.
I went to work out with my trainer and realized I had eaten way too recently for that. Felt icky and had to punk out after about 45 minutes rather than the full hour. Came home and laid on the bathroom floor a bit before showering. Oops.
smonster, glad your new job is working out pretty awesome, even if it means you have to be awake at heinous hours.
