Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Zenkitty,
my immediate question is: can you get the meds you need despite this presumed theft or are you ass out?
Zenkitty, definitely file a complaint, and I hope you can get replacement meds quickly.
omnis, continued ~ma to you that the sale goes through.
I ordered something for the new house and accidentally sent it to the old apartment. Trying to fix it is more difficult than it should be.
I have more valium. Don't have any more deplin and probably can't get a refill for a couple weeks, which actually bothers me more, especially since my insurance will pay for the valium but not the deplin, and the stuff is expensive. I'm still hoping I find them tucked away somewhere. Hate the idea that someone might have taken them out of my bag.
Blerg. So I completely spaced out and forgot to pay my March rent, which had been niggling in the back of my mind but I didn't think had actually happened. But it did, and my landlord e-mailed me wondering if there was some sort of bank error since I did not seem like the sort of person who would "voluntarily" pay the 10% late fee. Which was a bizarre way of putting it. I paid the rent but not the late fee, which he then asked for. I said that since was my first flub in almost six years, I hoped we could waive it for a first-time offense. I have a feeling he's going to be an asshole about it, but we'll see.
I have a feeling he's going to be an asshole about it, but we'll see.
I don't think you get to call him an asshole for asking you to pay the penalty spelled out in your lease when you made the mistake, PC.
That's true. It's fine if he says no, but I have this feeling he's going to make me feel like a dick for even asking and start pulling out things like, oh, this month you were a day late and I didn't say anything, maybe you should pay double! A simple no will suffice.
Ha, okay, he did say no, but his explanation was not annoying and very understanding. But then, of course, he slipped into Political Mode:
And otherwise, on top of the general nature of late payment penalty, the top of the "system" if you will, there is the more immediate, definite and pernicious matter of discrimination. Discrimination about money matters is bad and very sensitive. It is vicious. The system is like that. The <Owner> certainly does not have a choice. Two generations ago, things were very different. It seems that the activists have changed the system completely. Many rules now. Mostly, they feel jealous of the <favored>, and scream <discrimination> and <favoritism>, as real downright dirty dicrimination has more or less disappeared. I understand both sides of the fence, and frankly, I just try to be fair and respect the rules to minimize the number of hassles. Good will among men.
Real downright dirty discrimination has more or less disappeared, you guys! Did you know? We have to go looking for new ways to be discriminated against now.
finishing my neuro essays (1 to go, plus making sure I'm APA-compliant).
Debet, are you studying Psychology now, or something similar?
