A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm done. Hit a deer on the way down from PA.

Holy shit!

2012 can go fuck itself.

Yeah. It's no friend of yours. When the chaos starts a'swirlin' it just seems to get ever so much moreso. And I know that it's because when you're dealing with hard shit then things which you'd normally have the resources to fend off are more daunting.

But still. When my first marriage fell apart I felt like I was in a bad Fellini movie; there was so much crazy shit.

My strategy (at the time) was to be Buster Keaton in a Fellini Movie. Which worked okay for the duration. Straight up deadpan in the face of absurd developments.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Lots of things I should respond to, but right now I only have time to say: my little traveling boy is three years old today!
What? How can that be? He's such a cute lil thing. Can't be possible he's 3 already! As JZ said, no matter what we deny his age to be, if it's his birthday, shower the lad in love and kisses. Congrats to you and Wallybee on such a fine young boy!

Oh, lordy, I just sent a reply to a guy on a dating site. I must be feverish, or drunk or something. I better go to bed.
Is that bed with him? Or alone? Hmm. Curious. Sweet dreams!

Hit a deer on the way down from PA. I'm fine. Car less so
Oh lordy. Yes, 2012 can go fuck itself. Glad to hear you are OK. Sad to hear about the car. Is this #3 of crap from 2012? Hopefully that means good will start coming back into your life.

ION - the long night of load out went well. About an hour faster than I thought it would. And then the drive home was great. The exit that has been closed for a year is finally open, and all the lights were green, save 2, and I waited about 11 seconds for those two combined. Now, I just need to fall asleep.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Car accidents - crappity. Glad injuries were not severe, but I know that the PITA of the rest of it is... a PITA.

Zenkitty, good luck.

Ryan, happy belated birthday to you. You make the world a better place just by being in it.

So, neti pot users who have switched to using distilled water rather than tap water - is there an easy solution to the less than pleasant sensation of having room temperature water surging through the sinuses? I find it off-putting. Being able to get the tap water body temperature, or just a tiny bit warmer made the experience easier for me.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Maria}}} I'm so glad you're alright.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Ryan!!!

The builder is making noise, but I can't flee because I'm still waiting for the electrician to come. He was supposed to be here at the same time. Today is the first day of the farmer's market in town, and I really want to get to it. I should probably also start unpacking some boxes; has anyone seen my motivation?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

WS, I use a variation on the neti pot theme (squeezable plastic bottle that comes with little packs of ... something). I use bottled water, boil it, mix the solution in a pyrex mixing cup (to make sure I get the right amount and don't melt the bottle), then let it cool to warm. Then I pour it into the bottle and squeeze away.

then let it cool to warm.

Yeah, I left this step out. (Well, I left all the steps out.) I just figured no one would assume I was pouring boiling water through my sinuses.
