Xposty with omnis. Seriously, that kind of thing pisses me off more than a wrecked car. Rant away.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ack, Laura! I'm glad everyone is okay, and I'm so sorry about your car.
DH just wrecked my car on his way home from the airport picking up Bobby, with other kids in the car too. He didn't notice traffic backed up because he was talking to the kids about their trip and rear ended a BMW. My car may be totaled. He says they are all ok.
Jayzus! Big Brendon, don't get infected with Brendon Junior's driving issues.
Sorry, about the family stuff omnis. Cancer stresses whole families quite a bit.
Oh dear oh dear. Hugs all around, esp for smonster, o_a and Laura.
OK, had to write that out before calling her. She's at home doing movie time with the hubby and kid. Hasn't gone over to dad's while he is home for the weekend. And won't be. I asked her about the internet thing, and she said "we did that for them when they moved here last year, and they ignored us. They have all the info already". It doesn't help that both dad and his gf are stubborn folks. But right now, they're attention is a bit distracted. Yes, you already did the research, but, can you re-present the info??? Nope. "I'll give a call this week sometime". Ugg. I just don't get it. And she wonders why she is having marriage problems? Maybe it has something to do with her lack of communication skills with everyone. Ugg.
On a lighter note, dad is looking to buy a computer. He is adiment that he doesn't want a Windows machine. Tired of fighting the OS all the time (granted he has xp on a machine that is so old, it doesn't have wi-fi and has a built in modem). He told me today, when the guy at Best Buy asked why he wanted an Apple computer, he said "of my 3 kids, the one who is the most level headed uses them and swears by them. And the other two say Windows are the best, but always complaining what it can't do. So if my level headed son says it's great, then that's what I want" (or something to that effect). I'll take that as a compliment, I suppose.
Yikes Laura, glad to hear everyone is ok. Cars are insured, not that it ever pays for everything. Hubby and kids, a bit harder to fix.
Who knows how long it will be before they get home. They have to get the car towed, get a ride to the office to get another vehicle, etc. So much for the tums I asked him to pick up. I expect they are forgotten.
I'd love to have a glass of wine but expect it would mix really badly with the Oxy so I will just take my overdue doses of pain and anti-biotic meds and read my book. That will likely put me to sleep.
I was really looking forward to them getting home from the airport and hearing about Bobby's Chicago trip and the BPA competitions. I have been alone here all weekend and pretty much just staying in bed with my leg elevated. Pity party scheduled instead now.
I'm sorry, omnis. Family illness is hard enough without the geographically close family shrugging it off.
I'm sorry about the car, Laura.
Oh eep! I was about to come in and bitch about the fact that our next door neighbors have been having a loud party for three solid days now, but this kind of puts that in perspective. So sorry about stress with your family, Omnis, and so sorry to hear about your car, Laura. Glad they are okay, but still.
So this bartender has his own version of a Pimm's cup, with strawberries, mint, and cucumbers. It's pretty awesome.
