Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Huh. That's a thing? Makes sense, I guess. It was four hours of total sensory overwhelm.

It's definitely a thing that I've experienced and commiserated with co-workers with on both Mondays after Festing.

Sorry about your laundry issues- I'd invite you over to do it here, but Tom's brewing, and that takes up the entire back of the house.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Naw, it's good. I'm just being lazy. At this point I have so much, it's better to go to the laundromat and get it all done at once.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Errands are done for the day so we are finally going to see Cabin in the Woods.

I am finally at the laundromat. Two loads in the dryers and one getting rewashed for stains - damn hair dye on pillowcases.

I think I'm going to make a huge Thai veggie stirfry tonight to use as much of my veggies as possible. I'm trying to find a recipe for bone-in chicken thighs to go along with it that doesn't involve baking - my kitchen is already a bit stuffy these days.

Season the thighs with S&P (and any other spice, if you wish). heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, put the chicken in skin down, flip after 7-8 minutes, cook till done. You can pour some chicken broth or white wine or something to cover the bottom of the pan, cover, and braise it to finish, too.

Mm, chicken thighs. There are also a bunch on epicurious that are probably good, if the simple stovetop panfry/sautee doesn't do it for ya.

We're having leftover gumbo, though we ate all the shimps from last night. I got some smoked sausage to round it out.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Dinner tonight will be stir fry - chicken, black beans, thin spaghetti, stir fried in safflower and sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, rice wine, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger black pepper, fresh cilantro, tangerine segments, with mushrooms, onions and spinach.

Thrive to spite them

Val I checked the pictures on FB - your dress is amazing! And you look so beautiful and happy.

The ceremony was lovely and so was the reception. Your nephew is really cute.

Awesome, Nora, thanks.

StW just had to cancel on dinner - still working on his lecture for tomorrow. This is not helping my mood, which is back to "seriously foul". At least I'm almost done at the laundromat and all my clothes are folded.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good job! You did that thing.

Feed yourself, paint your nails and have a drink.
