Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Congratulations Andi and Daniel. Glamcookie as well.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope your foot feels better soon, Laura.

I think I'm pms-ing. It feels like everything I do is wrong and everyone hates me and blah blah blah. Since my cycle is pretty whacked only time will tell if this is hormones, an anxiety attack, or if I really am a soon-to-be unemployed, pathetic excuse for a middle-aged cat lady. With silly hair.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Laura, take your meds and eat something with then even if you don't feel like it because it should help with the side effects.

I am waiting at the new house for the cleaners and then I need food and to beg for more boxes. I feel like a box addict looking for her next fix.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I got sold the opposite story with my shoulder surgery. "You will be able to use it right after surgery. It will be sore for a bit but then you can return to regular activity" was the message just pre-surgery. Now, 6 weeks out "Yes, it will take 3-4 months to fully recover. You will have discomfort (pain) when doing anything beyond the most basic non-weight bearing movements. Karate is not a 'normal activity'".

YAYAY to Andi and Daniel.

Best baby#2 wishes to the Glam!Fam.

I feel like I'm coming down with a cold on top of the cold I had a month ago that has never really gone away. No fair.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sj, having moved twice in a year, moving SUCKS. You are not complainy.

Calli, you do not have stupid hair and one cat doesn't a cat lady make. You need at least eight or so. And if you are soon to be unemployed, I'd wager a week's wages that it ain't you, it's them.

Baby~ma, GC!!

Note to self - wear a respirator when cutting or routing cedar. Cannot get nasty taste out of mouth and keep sneezing.

Sorry the foot still hurts so much, Laura.

Calli, what smonster said. You are awesome and the hormone demons should back off.

More boxes achieved as well as beer for TCG. Latte also achieved. I'm going to go pick up thessally in a bit to help with what is left of the packing. Thank goodness for good friends.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, good, sj, I'm glad thessaly is going to help!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

standing in a creek while they recite their vows. Fortunately, we've written a lovely and delightfully short ceremony

"Do you?"

"Yup."

"Do you?"

"You betcha."

"Done deal. Step out and kiss your spouse. Somebody hand me my socks!"

May their union be blessed.

Thanks, smonster and sj. SJ, I'm glad you'll have some packing help.

Far from it, calli. I'm sorry about the hormone-ish.

GC, (bounce!) All best possible baby~ma to you and DW!

sj, moving does, verily, suck. It's great TCG and your family are being so good--even if the fam does interject more discussion than pro movers might. And yay for Thessaly today. I can't wait to hear all about the lack of neighbor-noise, and to see fantastic pictures of the new place!

(Might I here plead with everyone for links, if you post your pics on FB? I love to check them out, am eager for pictorial updates on all mah Buffistas, and will happily click on links. But FB is not part of my online routine, so I don't go trolling for any new photos you might have put up there. Links are fabulously appreciated, thanks!)

So glad to hear your mom is doing well, JenP.

And Laura, you have all my sympathetic foot~ma. Foot pain seems so trifling, till you try to get through a day being unable to move at will. "It's *only* a foot!" No, it's a dang important part of your ambulatory daily experience, and having it out of commission requires forethought, planning, workarounds, and lots of extra spoons. So, I'm wishing you spoons. And effective pain meds.

I'll stay out of the sharks' living and dining rooms, as long as they stay out of mine, thanks!
