Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm just sad I'm no longer living with an hour of Hartford. When do you start?

We haven't worked that out yet. I'm thinking mid-November.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Vortex, congratulations! That's excellent!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay, Vortex! I hope it is a lovely change for you.

Yay for good veterinarians, too. Get better, Frankie!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Congratulations, Vortex! An entirely new work environment sounds like a really good thing.

It's just a shame it's not in Atlanta.

I just had a mug of hot cocoa. I am now sitting with a purring cat wedged between me and the desk. He is not attempting to get up on the keyboard. I am also buff-diving. Is there a better way to spend the half hour or so before getting ready for work?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yay, Vortex! Change is good.

Up an extremely steep, cobble-stoned hill in the pouring rain and heavy winds with slippery leaves everywhere. Bronte Parsonage was worth it, but it was quite the treacherous journey.

Sounds very Bronteish. Brontish? Brontesque?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Congrats, Vortex!! That sounds exciting!!

~ma to Erin for her job.

Is there a better way to spend the half hour or so before getting ready for work?

I say there are not many better ways, nope.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Congratulations, Vortex! I am going to miss you desperately.

I'm thinking mid-November.

No, it's too soon. It's not enough time.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Congrats, Vortex!

Congratulations Vortex - they're lucky to have you!
