Hey, if it means I don't have to read any more, woo and, might I add, a big hoo.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Print shops might have those nice sturdy copy paper boxes, and it might be worth your while to swing by any local hospitals and drive around to see if they've got a loading bay out back; those can be a gold mine for very sturdy boxes of all sizes, often with lots of packing material.

I find the idea of do-it-yourself chemo odd. "You too can do chemotherapy at home for fun and profit."

That's almost mad scientist-esque.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ginger, my MiL took an oral chemo at one point. My only advice is to beware the donut hole in your Rx coverage and look around to see if you can find any services that offer to help cover costs.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ginger, keeping my fingers crossed that the meds work and don't bring too many side effects to the party.

Copy paper boxes are awesome for moving. sj, check freecycle, too.

I am at Nora's watching FNL, AIFG for sure. I'm not sure which is better, watching it again or watching her watch it for the first time.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Ginger, Mehandi.com is my rec.

Zenkitty: If it were done, when 'tis done, then twere well...It were done quickly.

Tis done even now, good fellow.

Years ago a friend who'd started a business writing and copyediting was handed a pamphlet by a protester ... who was startled, to say the least, when she automatically started copyediting it.

I am totally doing this, from now on.

I second the freecycle rec. It's huge in this area for boxes.

Great to hear the anti-nausea drug is doing its thing, Ginger.

I'm envisioning the chemo drugs themselves as micro-warriors, complete with 300 style abs, skirts and battle cries. In my mind, they are bellowing, "THIS. IS. GIN-GER!" and then kicking the shriveled cancer cells down the well...to their ignominious demise as they are flushed out every time you pee.

That last bit might be too much, but heh, it's my fantasy and I'm sticking with it.

Yes, I'm going to pick a couple up from Staples tomorrow. probably not enough for all the books I have to pack though.

No, this is EXACTLY how they work. Including the skirts and abs.

I'm a pharmacy editor. You can trust me.

Copy paper boxes are awesome for moving.

I had a professional mover chastise me once for using copy paper boxes. He said that the _reams_ were what gave the box strength and that the actual weight/gluing of the cardboard was pretty flimsy.

He highly endorsed the liquor boxes because they were strong and small enough to be schlepped by anyone. He gave a massive thumbs down to grocery store boxes due to the potential for transporting roach eggs, mold and other uglies.

To this day, I do not use the boxes as Costco for this reason.
