I also took typing in HS -- on a typewriter, even! It would sometimes mess me up to go from typing on the typewriter at school, with its heavy keys, to typing on the computer at home, where the keys were much easier to push. Don't know how I'd do if I tried to go back to a typewriter now.
ION, I dreamed last night that I ate a muffaletta, and it was so good. My lunch of leftover pasta with broccoli was rather disappointing in comparison.
In college my first typing class was the first quarter I was there (no semesters for us!), it was myfirst class of the day, too.

I failed it the first time, because I really could not make it to class and function at such an absurd time, much less type.
Got my federal refund! Now to give it all to my credit card. Yay?

Years ago a friend who'd started a business writing and copyediting was handed a pamphlet by a protester ... who was startled, to say the least, when she automatically started copyediting it.
I am mostly spending my day going to various retail locations begging for moving boxes. I've had limited success. Borders was alway my go to for moving boxes. Does anyone have any suggestion about stores that are good for giving away boxes?
I'm now taking an oral chemo, Xeloda. I find the idea of do-it-yourself chemo odd. "You too can do chemotherapy at home for fun and profit."
Henna people: Apparently coating one's hands and feet in henna paste is a proven help for this chemo's ugliest side effect, something unimaginatively called Hand Foot Syndrome. Anyone have a source for cheap fresh Indian henna in bulk? There are some big Indian stores near me that I should check out.
