Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Amateur. I think I'm in week 6 now, and it currently looks like I have 2 to 6 more weeks to go depending upon how a few items go.

::criez:: Uh, happy birthday?

Also, YIKES, Zeitoun. Did I know he had a book out? Must acquire for the next time I need to get a righteous rage on.

Dave Eggers wrote it, actually. My dad was super tickled to see Zeitoun's signs around town; he took a picture of one in front of the steamboat captain houses.

Try Parasol's for the RB poboy

Ahahaha, I just saw this, but I must have gotten your brainwave. We totally took Frankie and ate at Parasol's. Parents got a roast beef po boy and a smoked pork one and split them, and I had the firecracker shrimp. They were blown away by how good they were, and charmed by the fact that Frankie could come in the bar. Not so charmed by the cigarette smoke and the mid-day drunk, but that's NOLA for you.

smonster, I'm eating a muffeletta (from Rouses) AIFG! Not bad at all...

Aaaaand we picked up a muffeletta from Rouses (and Hubig's pies) for their plane ride home.

I am so fucking adorable that you can all just shut up.

PICTURES OMG PICTURES.

Ok, I'm clising my eues to toucj yu[e this ad to see how many weepe O LW NWDPEW o [PAR/ o QO;; MPR WSOR/ .

That is awesome.

My turn to type something with my eyes. closed.

Whoa. Just an extra period. I think I slowed down to be more accurate.

In the world of, did my family actually do that,

Sweet suffering Jesus screaming Christ on crutches. Woman, didn't you learn that there are just some things you DON'T DO?!?!

I have survived all of my parents' visit but the trip to the airport (knock on wood for that one)! It's about time, really, my PMS is kicking in and I'm losing patience. My eyes were stuck on the "roll" setting today.

Also, I've filed my taxes!!! I had to pay to e-file my two state returns, but I'm getting refunds from federal and both states so NBD.

Now I'm going to risk electrocution to take a quick shower during a thunderstorm.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Smonster, what was that steampunk series you were talking about over dinner the other night?

Also, poboys at Parasols and muffelettas from Rouses? We are of one mind! Wish I'd thought of hubig pies though.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

The Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger.

Wish I'd thought of hubig pies though.

The number one thing I won't miss about my parents being here? My mother going on and on and on about Weight Watchers points. I mean, hey, glad it's working for her (she's lost 10 lbs), but either follow it silently or abandon it for the week with... abandon. I don't want to know the number of points in her wine, and beer, and gumbo, and coffee, and Hubig's... FFS.

Our wings are not tired

Yeah, my sister is a piece of work.

Thankfully it's not an aunt I was close to. I only met her a handful of times in my life. She apparently died about 2 months ago.

My mom is one of four sisters. Two of them are gone now.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So not only did she break the news of a family death in your birthday message, she waited until she could break the news in your birthday message?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So not only did she break the news of a family death in your birthday message, she waited until she could break the news in your birthday message?

Timing is everything.

Seriously, if you wait two months, wait just a couple days longer... I hate that your family makes mine look sane.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oy, your family, ND. But happy birthday all the same.

Today has been insanely busy, so I'm just now sitting down and relaxing but really I should just go to bed. But I need to change the pillowcases first, and that sounds onerous, so...

Our wings are not tired

The sad thing is, I doubt it was even planned by my sister. Much of her abuse is just due to being completely blind to things that aren't her.
