I know I am not the best of spellers. And grammar is not my strong suit. But when a PROFESSOR responds to an email with (pardon the asscaps, his doing, not mine):
I KIND OF LIKE IT NOT BEING A SOLDIER'S KNIVEWell, it just makes me cry a little inside. What makes it worse, he is responding to a prop note that has knife spelled correctly...twice!

Cool, I was just on the radio... sort of. The local NPR is talking about hybrid car owners being repeat customers. I wrote on the Facebook page my thoughts on it, and the hostess led off the discussion with my post! I'm famous!!

omins, my brother is a professor of Journalism and his blog makes me howl with laughter at all of the typos!
His defense is that his hands are too big for keyboards. Right.
Heh - my step-brother wrote for a local paper and had more typos than you'd believe. He said it was because he typed so fast (120ish wpm) that he couldn't correct himself. (Some people, not naming names here, might believe he was too lazy to go back and re-read).
Oh, typos, good times! I do them frequently and hate them. I don't like looking stupid.
I think I have decision fatigue.
My last supervisor was a very fast typist, but I was less impressed when I saw that every 5th keystroke or so was a backspace.
I'm very fast, but my fingers know when they make errors, and I can't continue until I've fixed the error. The exception to this is when I transpose words or letters or something. If my fingers don't feel the error, then I'm screwed.
Since my jo b is coorecting other people's spelling mistakes and ytpos, I'm acutely aware f them in my own typing, And I am a very bad typist. I always check my emails and such befores ending to kae sure I haven't embarrassed myself,.
