he is starting his fourth week without a day off. Yes, fourth.
Amateur. I think I'm in week 6 now, and it currently looks like I have 2 to 6 more weeks to go depending upon how a few items go.
I'm tired.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Foam rollers are awesome, if painful. I just wish there was a way I could use them on the side of my neck/top of my shoulder. That's where everything always tightens up on me.
In other news, I think this is the ugliest web site I have seen in a long time. It's like an acid flashback to the mid-nineties.
The L9 really wore them out emotionally... my dad just finished reading Zeitoun and he was talking tonight about when the Greyhound station got turned into a Gitmo-style prison after Katrina, and my mom had to ask him to stop because she couldn't take hearing any more.
Yeah, the L9 is so rough on the psyche. Just this manifestation of generations of institutional racism with the payoff being how things were dealt with after the post-Katrina surge. Also, YIKES, Zeitoun. Did I know he had a book out? Must acquire for the next time I need to get a righteous rage on.
Try Parasol's for the RB poboy (was on the T-P's top 10 list [link] (or Mahoney's- they have some tasty poboys there too) and maybe jaunt over to The Butcher for a gander at their muffeletta. Also, we'll probably be at the Avenue Pub tonight NOT getting blitzed on Duvel. AGAIN. (damn their Monday night promotion!)
Bacchanal might have been descended upon by post FQF hordes. Glad you were able to find something though!
Man, I need another day for sleeping. And eating poboys. Mmm. Maybe we'll hit Mahoney's for dinner.
I haven't been to the L9 since 2003. Actually, I haven't been to New Orleans since Katrina hit. When I was in college, I volunteered with a Tulane group at a church in the Ninth Ward. We got donated computers, took them apart and put together the still-working bits into frankenputers, and set up a computer lab in a spare room of a church where we taught kids how to use the computers. I remember being shocked at some of what I saw around the streets even then -- infrastructure clearly collapsing and nobody from the city doing anything about it.
I'm filing for an extension this year. I only have so much energy right now, and I'll put off anything that can be put off.
Hello, my friends. I'm procrastinating. How's everyone?
Hi there almost married bug! How's it going?
Hello, my friends. I'm procrastinating. How's everyone?
I just had my pre-move meltdown right on schedule this morning, but I did manage to also make half a dozen change of address phone calls. How are you doing?
Hello, vw! Good to see your smiling pixels again!
Hi, Laura! I'm doing well. It's down to the wire, but I'm really mostly dealing with just little details. We're in pretty good shape, and I'm getting wicked excited!
sj, I'm waiting for my melt-down. I figure it will come in about a week...right after Mom and my SIL arrive. I mean, it won't have the greatest impact unless there are more people around to see it, right?
I'm sorry for your pre-move meltdown, though. Just remember, the end is both near and worth it! Or, at least, that's what I keep telling myself.
