Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Damn Daniel! Both for the weight loss and the 2 months off. I cannot believe that.

Are you going to have to buy new clothes or will you put the weight back on (in part or full) as you get healthier and have better food?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Meanwhile, on Other Board, wrt: cosmetic vaginal surgeries (with the subtext of "remind me again, why all of our vaginas have to look like nine years old's ones?"). Someone tried the "hymenorrhaphy has been around for decades and it has spared many girls grief where virginity is an issue" argument.

Yes. Because all of the sudden, honor killing is the issue, not CVS as a beauty standard.

(The things that make me feel better, I tell you. You spend a day with Middle English texts, completely lost and clueless about your paper, and then you see a flawed argument somewhere, and you're like a dog with a bone and can't let go. That is, if you're me, today).

Edit: bad grammar. Bad, bad, bad grammar. I blame my day with Middle English.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Shir, no Ianto, sadly. No Jack or Gwen either.

I met sj! She and her DH are truly awesome! We had a really lovely time at Nottingham Castle and at the oldest pub in England (which serves very good desserts and, I hear, not bad ale).

Seska and The Girl are also, awesome! They drove us all over and we had a lovely time. Now we're back at the hotel and I'm going to collapse. So tired.

Oh! Sounds like you had a wonderful time, Ianto or not. Seska and The Girl and indeed wonderful (and I'm sure you too, sj - it's just that we never met each other. Yet).

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Like Erin, I need new mascara, so thanks for the recs. I now am in a quandry, do I buy the DiorShow or the Blinc? Decisions, decisions...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

They are *very* different mascaras. Though neither (if you are talking the regular DiorShow) require makeup remover.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My temperature is 99.9. Not yet high enough that I can email my supervisor to say that I won't be in tomorrow, but still high enough that I need to start thinking about alternate plans.

That's concerning me a bit, yes. I'll probably just try the Blinc because I'm curious what the tubes are like. And I suspect that it would be utterly impossible to ever give me full, long, beautiful, catwalk lashes anyway. (Well possible exception for Latisse, but since I can't afford to spend $100 on a vanity medication, it's kind of moot.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I really like Blinc. I like the manner in which it's waterproof, and yet how easily it comes off. I think I also have a Dior mascara, but it's definitely not waterproof. It may be overkill. I don't remember the sub-brand.

Hil - if I were you, I would wait two-three hours and then email/call if you're still feeling bad. Health is health.

And quester, best of luck!
