And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora, I caught it a few episodes in and didn't see the pilot until later. Even so, I found myself on my feet cheering for a fictional character playing a sport I don't like. Impressive. And yes, I cried at the pilot, too, even though I was spoiled.

Best to have tissues handy when watching FNL. Never know who's gonna make you cry when. Lots of feels from lots of characters.

What did Tom think?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

You guys! At a party tonight, I got suspended (rope dealie; actually kind of like a hammock, seriously) for the first time. It was SO COOL!

Here's a picture (NOT of me, and it IS totally SFW) of what it basically looks like (except my hands and arms were free): [link]

Yay fun! I can hardly call it kinky; I was fully clothed, and it was just -- hook me up, hoist me off the ground, watch me swing back and forth saying "Whee!!!" That's all it was. SO FUN!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

OK, Teppy, that does look kinda fun!

Indeed. With so many points of suspension, it almost looks like it would be therapeutic for someone with back problems.

Pix, glad to hear you're feeling a little better. That was a heck of a wipeout. Much ~ma for getting everything back in shape.

sj, I hope the car problem is something minor and easily fixed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad you had fun, Steph!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Heh- Tom went into the office when I started the episode, possibly because of the football thing. He came out for the last 15-20 minutes, and I think he was intrigued although he tried to hide it, heh.

I could feel that hit coming, with the astounding amount of pressure the entire town had placed on that poor kid's shoulders. Every scene was basically complete foreshadowing.

Omg, Tammy Taylor. "His and her closets!!!" And that awesome scene with her daughter and Texan ladies at the car dealership. Haaaaaa.

Had a dream about that world last night, actually!

There are a lot of different positions/poses people can be suspended in; some are beautiful, but not very comfortable at all. (And then some people *like* to be not comfortable, so, win-win.) Since it was my first time, I just wanted something comfortable and simple, and it was pretty cool. Even though I was only a couple-few feet off the ground, it was still a freaky moment to have my feet leave the ground and realize I was just...hanging there. And then I started swinging back and forth and going "Whee!" (I am apparently the poster girl for refuting the myth that Kink Is Serious Business And If You're Laughing You're Doing It Wrong.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The car was just the battery and AAA was able to fix it at the house for us today. Thanks for the quick and cheap -ma.

We also slept in a little today and it did us both a world of good.
