Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I had to escape the house. There is too much dust and apparently cat fur in the carpet that is being pulled up.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh Pix, that sounds like a Laurel and Hardy movie but without the laughs. What a spiraling cycle of disasters.

not your mom's socks.

We are going to a friend's 40th bday party today. DH brewed beer for it.

How are so many of my friends turning 40 when I'm still 30? I cant understand it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh God, Pix, what a night! Holy crap, glad you're okay.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Sounds like a job for The Tick!
Ha! I was thinking that as I typed.

Well, second sleep was more of a nap, with a strange dream. Somehow I ran into hayden panettiere and I chastised her for getting implants, next thing you know, I'm her life coach. Really strange.

Time to make some breakfast. I'm thinking a plate of pancake, some bacon, and some scrambled eggs.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Pix}} I know it seems like the last thing possible, but I hope you can take it easy for a couple days. Head injury and whiplash isn't something to neglect. What a mess.

There is too much dust and apparently cat fur in the carpet that is being pulled up.

I got the worst infection in my eye ever from carpet being pulled up. Avoid!!!

The status is NOT quo.

Thanks all. What a day! I feel okay this morning and have a noon chiro appointment, so I really think it won't be a big deal. I also have a flexoril prescription that will keep my back from seizing up (though it will make me too loopy to do much), so that's good.

I'm trying not to think too much about the massive amount of prep on our end that must happen to replace the carpet. We will need to pull everything out of this bedroom and sleep in guest room for that time period. Want to talk to T about putting down pergo (or another cheap fake wood) instead of carpet to make it match the house better and minimize my allergy issues (not to mention the inherent pet mess issues). Feh. ND is booked solid--not a single day off until some time in May, and it's not going to be the must enjoyable project to tackle solo.

I hope that she is able to turn around and get compensation from the roofers. You've mentioned before that as a landlord she is above average. The fact that she is mortified with something that someone else screwed up shows how much she cares.

That's the worst part--her dad (a retired professional roofer and another super nice person) is the one who did the work. Poor thing. T is like family to us, honestly. She's wonderful.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Pix, what a nightmare. I'm so glad you got it checked at the ER. Here's to a quick recovery.
