Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If there's an edge, you can pull them out. No edge, push the plastic sleeve into the wall.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for the advice. The internet says cut off the head with a blade and spackle over them.

Thrive to spite them

I had a one day temp thing that has now turned into a two day temp thing!

Also had dinner with Will and his boys. It was a nice dinner and we ended up sitting at the table for about an hour after dinner talking. Mostly trying to explain how Dungeons & Dragons and Shadowrun work. He's never played tabletop RPGs, just video games and board games.

I told him next time he was up we'd watch the D & D Community episode.

I don't remember how the conversation started, but Will's boys have been trying to get people to play Shadowrun (not in person, online live chatting).

At times I have more in common with his boys than I do with Will but it all works out.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay!

I applied to be interviewed at a local university. I didn't even get selected to be interviewed, which I knew was likely since I'm not suitable for the departments that are hiring. Still, it stings a bit.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If there's an edge, you can pull them out. No edge, push the plastic sleeve into the wall.

I just push them into the wall with a Philips head screwdriver and spackle the hole.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I applied for dozens of jobs with all the universities (Tulane, Loyola, Xavier, UNO, SUNO) over the first summer we lived here and heard jack and shit back from alla them.

That makes me feel better, Nora, thanks. Eff 'em anyway.

Okay. I revised my resume with carpentry in mind and sent it off to my friend for forwarding. That means I get to take a shower, prep my bag for tomorrow, and go to sleep. I also hung a picture in my kitchen (finally).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I've never heard back for an university job around here I applied for.

I've never heard back from any university job I ever applied for. For a while it really messed with my self-esteem.

Technically I didn't hear back from them, I heard back from the local org who arranged the interviews (504ward, Nora).

Oh, jeezy. This time next week my parents will be here (hence all the house stuff I've finally been doing). ACK. ACK. ACK. I'm sure it will be fine and fun and all that, but I'm equally sure they will get freaked out by NOLA and I will get hella annoyed with their fussiness. Such is family.
