Holy cow! Has anyone heard of the Google Art project?? Their was a story on the Nightly News about it. [link]
Very cool! I wish there was an app for that. But still, very cool! You can zoom in on the art. Seeing the cracks and brush strokes on a Van Gogh painting is VERY cool!!
ETA:
since nobody posted, I will update this one. There seems to be an UNofficial app for the iPad called Vizeum! It doesn't seem to have the WHOLE collection, but still very very cool!
Dear Dude Who Comes Over Every Tuesday To Hang With Joe:
Seriously, STFU.
Ginger, I can't believe they couldn't fit you in earlier. Gah.
I'm getting drunk with amyth right now.
I miss the compound.
I am awake due to more crazy thunderstorms. StW is sleeping over. Frankie is getting very needy during storms. I finally gave up on sleeping for a while (ear plugs aren't even helping and I got weirdly panicky) and did some stretches for my hip and stuff. And now I'm here.
I have a feeling that my "be at DMV when it opens" plan may not happen today. Since I'd have to leave the house in, oh, two hours.
All right, going to go drink some water and see if I can sleep a bit more. I think StW's alarm goes off in an hour.
On a bright note, super fun sexytimes tonight, even if we had to pause at one point for him to answer a page. For various reasons, we sometimes go a month or so NGA, and the bright side to that is that I forget how good the sex is. Yay good sex.
Hooray for gettin' some!
Boo for loud ass thunderstorms all night long with a constant lightning strobelight. I have never seen the likes of this kind of non stop lightning for HOURS on end before moving here.
Blergh.
Which DMV you going to (eventually) smonster? The one on Airport Road is super busy, but fairly well organized. I did all my business there when we first moved here. When we got Tom's licence, we went to the one on the West Bank, which was also busy not as busy as the other, but also, not as well organized.
Yay good sex.
Yay indeed! Sorry about the storms and the insomnia, though.
Yay for good sex.
I'm up in a timely manner. Time to get dressed and slug through early morning traffic for the Dance Dept meetings. Love them dancers. They are easy on the eye, and they like warm temperatures... but these early morning meetings taint my view of them. Silly morning people.
I would like to state, for the record, that I'm ignoring the idiot advice nurse.
It turns out the oncology/hematology doctor who is supposed to be dealing with the mystery anemia is out this week. I had an incredibly annoying conversation with his advice nurse, who kept concentrating on the shortness of breath, not the joint pain, and insisted I should see a doctor today and have someone drive me. There are no appointments anywhere near me, so she wanted me to go to an urgent care place and wait. Then she keeps reading a list of urgent care facilities I could go to, revealing that she has absolutely no grasp of Atlanta geography.
The shortness of breath is the same as it's been for weeks. I've managed to go to the grocery store, Home Depot and other errands without passing out. It's the pain I need help with. Instead I get someone asking me five different times if I've had surgery and if I had a history of heart disease.
Also, one reason this thing was such a clusterfuck in the beginning was that I kept seeing different doctors. I'm going to get an appointment with my PCP this week so that at least there's not another doctor in the mix. I don't know what good it will do, but she can order a blood test.

I needed that yesterday, and it totally worked.
Geez Ginger. I get why she is concerned about shortness of breath tho even if you have been dealing with that for awhile.
Thing is, urgent care won't get you a colonoscopy right? So what is the point?
