Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

A coverlet museum actually sounds like the sort of thing I'd go out of my way to see, but then again, I'm something of a textile geek. Also, the history of that kind of everyday item also tends to intersect a lot with women's history, which makes it even more interesting.

Note time stamp - I am awake far, far earlier than I should be. I'm tired, but the noise in my brain will. not. shut. up. Also, I'm sleepy enough that I can't stop my brain from wandering off into the kind of things I wish it would stay away from--all the fears, hurt, and negative self-talk that it's hard not to listen to.

I read the Internet. I thought nothing could amaze me.

I was so wrong.

And it's not even porn. huh

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I know! Somehow, that's the most shocking part of all -- not porn!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I dunno, I bet some porn has been enacted ON a coverlet.

oh, I'm sure ... but does that startle you? nope - it takes the Coverlet Museum to do that!

And there was a mushroom museum, although I understand it's closed. Or maybe just gone underground.

Would, actually, be useful - at one point there were four people in one local hospital with mushroom poisoning. One bright soul went out and picked the mushrooms growing in his yard ... seemingly didn't check to see if they were safe to eat. Guess he figured if they were growing in his yard, they were edible. I think he recovered, so he won't be a candidate for the Darwin Awards.

A friend has generously offered to shoot and edit a Kickstart video for me if I write the script. It is to finance the graphics book on global warming I am writing that will supplement the academic version about to be published. If anyone feels like posting some links to some kickass Kickstart videos that were successful, especially ones for books, that would be generous (I did see the one Jilli starred in.) Also tips on doing a good Kickstart beyond what one can get from the Kickstart site would be also wonderful. I think others might be interested, but if you prefer my profile addy is good.

Oh, goodness -- it was a Benadryl on top of Claritin day for me, being outdoors all day and surrounded by dust for the last couple of days AND it only tipped over into 60 degrees about the half hour of the sale.

I think I made about $25 today, but probably will get more traffic tomorrow.

So I came inside and lay down in bed to get warm...and feel asleep! I took an honest-to-god nap.

And Jilli, your package came today! SQUEE!!! Yes, I'm so excited! And I will hand out the postcards at the event!!

Thank you!!
