Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Maria I'm so glad that was straightened out quickly.

Jilli Alert - not the bad kind, Adorable Possible Infant Goth Alert. Today a woman came in with her tiny little baby daughter. She was 2 1/2 months old, wearing a gray onesie with pink bows down the front. And her pacifier holder was alternating white and black beads. The largest had a pink skull and cross bones with a pink bow and the smaller ones just had small skull and crossbones.

The mother wasn't dressed overtly Goth but the baby was so cute.

I got called into work today and got an extra 6 hours. Which was good, because my shift for tomorrow got cancelled due to being over payroll. But I'm okay with it I'll still end up with an additional 5 hours and the President is going to be holding a fundraiser at the hotel across the road from the store so I can avoid the Presidential Traffic.

And the store manager told me they wanted to give me one of the new part time positions, this one would be a keyholder thing - Customer Service Manager. But I don't think I can accept it because of the temp assignment. However, I talked to the Assistant manager before I left and told him I still want hours. I'm thinking about working 1 week night and either Saturday or Sunday. So, they may see if they can still give me the position.n Which would include a raise.

D'awwww! I love all the gothy baby stuff that's readily available now. It makes me so happy.

I get frustrated by that, too. Why make the offer if you didn't at least want to take the risk it would be accepted?

Heah, but living in the PNW I have learned to anticipate that it will happen. And thanks to buffistas I had a way to handle it which I never would have thought of myself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If I were a malicious person, I'd accept offers on principle, with shade of glee when it was someone just going through the motions that they were unwilling to live up to.

Wait...I am malicious. Oh, well then.

I will also get angry to the point of yelling if you treat me like one of those people, though. Not the most efficient way to eliminate the behaviour, but whatevs..

Heh. I do that. I also don't offer to pay for things or invite someone to something unless I mean it.

Jilli - I don't know if you watch Sci Fi's Face Off (their reality competition for make up artists) but the last competition is was Tim Burton Inspired.

We don't have cable, but I've seen a couple of episodes. A bunch of GCS readers let me know about the Tim Burton episode, so I've been meaning to track it down.

You can watch it on syfy's website or on hulu. I was impressed with several of the make ups although I thought someone else should have won.

I'm a malicious person too. But these are people I hope to do business with someday. So doing that would be kind of costly for me.

The status is NOT quo.

Warning: braindump ahead

OMG today has been sucky covered in suck sauce. As you know, I’ve already spent more than $600 in vet bills since last week (Mia seems to be getting better, but they won’t know for sure if this is FIP or a normal infection until they can re-check her blood next week, so that’s still hanging over my head). Well last night I noticed that Simon’s eye was red and weepy, so I took him in today--$89 later, I’ve discovered he has bacterial conjunctivitis and is also now on meds. THEN, as I did errands, my car started making a godawful noise. Took it to the shop to get a plethora of repairs (that at 85K miles, aren’t surprising) to the tune of $579. And THEN we had our tax meeting with the accountant and discovered that despite paying all of our estimated taxes last year, ND’s W-2 income went down while his 1099 income went up...which means we owe about $5000. And our estimated tax payments are going to be about the same for this year.

Seriously, I just want to collapse in a hysterically sobbing pile of suckitude. We can’t even cover all of our rent until some of the business money comes in, and the credit cards are so high that I feel like it will take us a decade or more to pay them off, and I think I’m going to need to find a summer job, which means I can’t go home and visit my parents. SUCK. SUCKY SUCKNESS. SUCKARAMA.

t deep breath

Okay. I feel a little bit better now. Thanks.
