Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

the drug use on the carport is bringing down the tone of the neighborhood.

As it is wont to do.

My interview with Big Tech Company has been scheduled for 9:15am on Wednesday!

Yaaaaaay! *Kermit arms*

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Woo, Jilli!!

bonny, I hate it when experts... aren't.

Still on set. Currently being very quiet upstairs in Galatoire's while they film downstairs. Ladies and gents, be nice to the PAs and help them out, and they will put you in shots.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Go Jilli!

sj, I hope you find an answer that is acceptable. How annoying!

I heard back that my thyroid biopsy was benign. Yay! Doctor may want me to redo it in 6 months. Boo!

Here, take a look at my kid and wife! [link]

Tru fax. When I 'extra'ed' eons ago, this was the best strategy. That, and be useful to the casting director. Oh, and have a cool car that you can rent to the production. (don't know if they do that anymore)

I love the stories I earned, but oy, the waiting killed me. Sounds like you are having a much better time of it smonster.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Great news, Glamcookie!

My cousin is a biology professor, and gets asked to write letters of recommendation for her students. Apparently there's a form the students fill out to make it easier for the professors to have all the info in one place. So my cousin sends me an e-mail to tell me what a student wrote on page 1 of her form: "Strengths: I believe I have reasonably well writing skills"

I e-mailed her back and said, "You can say the student has reasonably good irony skills."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Maybe take out a restraining order, so when you shoot him there'll be precedent?

I find this more than a little creepy.

And legally problematic.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

And legally problematic.

Well, it wouldn't actually work, I'm sure.

Cass, I'm sorry if you find it creepy that I think about shooting a potentially dangerous creepy man who's been hanging around too close. But I've been attacked by such creepy men, and I do think about it. And I can say so. That guy doesn't deserve me thinking about him sweetly. Wanting my friend to be safe, even if I express that desire in a manner you find creepy, is more important to me than being PC about my feelings towards a creepy man I'm never going to interact with.

Clearly Florida is currently giving the impression it just might.

I still think that planning a defense for shooting someone that you find creepy and potentially dangerous is on the wrong side of this issue. I am fairly sure that we'd all like Ginger to be safe. Certainly, I do. But the chasm between keeping doors locked and being aware and taking a restraining order out in anticipation of using it as precedent in a shooting? Vast.

My opinion.
