Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

If you used a gmail account it could receive email from up to 4 (or is it 5) other accounts. You could tell everyone to send only to the gmail account, but if they send to other accounts you still get them because of forwarding. And if you want to not be tied to gmail, you can tell people to send to your new domain's email address and forward that to gmail, and set gamil to give that as the from and reply-to.

I use gmail for consolidating my old hotmail account, my current gmail acct and my wordslinger emails.

Also, I wanted to let people know about this, as it may be of some interest: Sept 23rd is International Freelancer's Day (yes, yes, I know) BUT there's this free all-day on-line freelancing conference that looks like it will have some useful presentations, esp. for marketing, time and money management. Small biz owners might find it of use, also. [link]

Ginger, I do have a contact form on thedoggylama and my web guy has set it up so that I receive mail from anything at tdl. I also have the bonny at bk-t.

I could channel everything through gmail. I do have to admit that I don't like the threading in gmail. I know that is wrongheaded of me. It should be better, but I find it unweildy.

Maybe I should give it another try.

Gmail has had the ability to turn threading off for some time. They finally gave in. This year? 2010?

I will definitely look into it.

Bonny, you should have an e-mail.

Thanks to Ginger and tippr, I have just placed a huge order with Vistaprint, which means I won't have to think about business cards for a very long time. Plus, I've got a couple of new t shirts, some flyers, rack cards for an event coming up, thank you cards, postcards and such.

Phew. Thank goodness that is over.

Thank you so much for the pdfs Ginger!! It's a pain not having the right tools for the job. I deeply appreciate the assist.

Freelance Freedom comic. I just mainlined all of them pretty quickly.

Even though it's about a graphic designer, it's pretty right on. (I like #'s 83, 53, 47, 46, 38, 35, 31, and 23 especially. Not that I'm anal and wrote them down or anything...)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I was kind of bummed out for the last few days, not depressed, but just kind of resigned.

Then, I went to a networking event today and meet some great people (used the new cards. I finally figured out that I could get a not crazy gmail by adding "DC" to my old AOL address.) One guy wanted to talk to me about being on the board of a small HBCU in Virginia. I'm also setting up a lunch next week to talk with a guy who owns a consulting firm that works exclusively with the legal industry.

Then I got a call from the Connecticut folks that they want me back for a second interview. I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket.

Those sound like promising connections, Vortex.
