We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That's wonderful, Erin!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks for the congrats! I have one job, and a promise to send some writing my way from another contact.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh! I have a freelance complaint. Aside from why did I take this on, which means I have to work on the weekend. But I'm supposed to writing this year's version of a document, and last year's is....really quite good. I don't want to change that much! But I have to. Starting with something good is almost harder than starting with a blank page, sometimes.

You took it on for money, and portfolio?

And I feel your pain -- a freelancer's work hours are Until It's Done, by the deadline.

I just took it for the money. The real problem is I'll spend 10 hours Not Doing It, to bill five hours, tops. Oh well.

Crap. I just realized! I wanted simple, I wanted in-and-out, I wanted easy money.

Hahahahaha! So say we all.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am at the portion of my fundraising summer where I want to grab the children by their lapels (okay, I know children's clothing doesn't actually have lapels, just work with me here) and shout, "Just give me the damn money, tiny motherfuckers!" But I suspect that the church camp may be looking for a slightly different approach.

Ha, Jesse!

And Liese, who knows? That approach could just well work wonders!

I've found that shaking children generally results in, at best, loose change, which doesn't go very far toward paying the bills. Just my professional opinion....
