Do you guys have a billable time app tracker type thing you use?
I don't but would also be interested. Also, anyone use a mileage tracker app?
I need a pep talk, or real talk, some kind of talk. I'm a few weeks into starting up my own thing, and it's not going so hot. I have now done four or five estimates, and no takers. I think no one can afford me. I guess I need to drop my prices? I don't know what else to do. I have it out there that I'm doing a "friends and family" deal, so I'm not necessarily locked into low prices.
I think I'm PMSing too, which doesn't help. I'm having a real hard time finding my motivation right now.
Feel free to give me a call, I'm happy to talk to you about estimates and give you a pep talk and whatever else you need. My cell is in my profile.
I also need a pep talk, but more of a "find your focus, figure out your strengths"-type thing. I've been out of the 9-5 world for so long that I'm really intimidated by trying to get back in to it.

eta: just realized I meant to post in Bitches.
It's kind of hilarious how many people have posted that on my FB wall.
I may or may not have gotten it more than once.

Love you, juliana. Wish I had advice for you.
Ugggh, tough week right now. Roughly calculated my quarterly taxes. Can almost pay them but it would drain my whole savings account, but I think I'm going to pay them with a credit card and then immediately use a balance transfer that gets me zero interest for 18 mos. Which is not a great habit to get into, but I don't see another option. We'll see what it looks like once I factor in deductions.
And then these shutters… are probably going to take me 3x the hours I had calculated. At least.
I just don't know if I can actually make money at this, and I really don't know how much I really want to try.
The aspect of my business that would probably be best for actually making money is not an aspect I really like (dealing with door locksets).
