Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, of course it is! Thanks!

I might be able to walk 3 miles. I looked at Couch-to-5k but it seems so complicated...

Saint Bernard farts. Heaven help me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

8 teachers at my school have been let go. That's a DAMN lot.

Ugh Kat, that is just so angry-making. I think for me right now, that's one of the most disheartening things about the district, watching it bleed good teachers as they get laid off and class sizes get bigger.

I would like to do a 5K if it weren't for the pesky running part. I don't know why, I hate running. It seems so frigging healthy, I really should try to get over it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Do you think they're hiring Street View drivers? Or rather Crater View?

not your mom's socks.

Kat that's frustrating - and I'm sorry for your friend and her students. I'll check in by email about OH.

But first? I'll be chaperoning 25 kindergarteners and first graders on public transportation (trains!) and a 1/3 mile walk to their teacher's house and a park for a year-end treat. Its going to be 90 today. Anyone want to join me? No, really, it will be fun.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It took me an hour and a half to drive home last night. I think I need to get a GPS that will tell me where the backups are, because clearly I'm making the wrong choices as to route.

Sox, that sounds like a great year end treat!

I have decided I need to rework my syllabus and get it approved by the College Board. Then I will sort of relax again.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ah, senior finals.

My first hour is blessedly empty and silent. But my schedule will be different today: No 1st hour, my 2nd hour I'm subbing for Sr. finals proctor, so free day, 3rd and 4th hour, I teach my juniors, then lunch.

No fifth or sxth hour; then I teach my 7th hour, then I "proctor" senior finals 8th hour -- by which time they willl be all done and I get to spend the last hour of their HS careers shooting the shit with them and I get to say, for the last time, "You are dismissed...FROM HIGH SCHOOL!"

WOO!

Then for the rest of the year I have no classes 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 hours. ROCK ON.

hip deep in pie

Did people know that David Tennant and Catherine Tate were playing Beatrice and Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing. Set in the 80s! I'm thinking it would be a fun production to see. There's an audio interview here: [link]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My friends just saw it. Apparently David Tennant is in drag at one point.

Arthur Darvill is in Dr. Faustus at the Globe, too.
