Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Good to see that people are checking in safe.

Here's one interview up on the website: [link]

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Glad that people are checking in safe.

I hope the exposure finds Sass.

I broke and put the small room ac in. Just as an option.

I met one of my pool buddies...outside the pool! It's funny, after 2 years we're just getting around to exchanging names. So now I know pink cap, blue suit, now pregnant lady is Emily, and she knows where I live!

And in stupid news, I got into work at 7:35 to discover the whole system borked. There was a bug that only rears its head when the system is stupid fast on linux. Which it is, for now. Until it grinds to a halt. That ate my morning.

And then I discovered a metric we'd been computing for ages has a major bug, so who knows how long we were getting misleading results. And I have to replace the tool anyway. Which, doable, but man, a lot of work has to be done to fix the historical data. Luckily, I think I can foist that off on my minion. Except she's out today and tomorrow, so I'm also doing her job. Which I do not have time for, but I have to make it.

And I ate too much pizza provided for us in celebration of the transition (too much for me > half a slice, I had 2.5) and so I'm skipping dinner and feel vaguely ooky. I've been up since 5:15. I didn't escape work until 4:15 and that was sheer fuckitall. I easily could've been there until past 6.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ugh, I am finally home. I never, ever want to deal with a tornado thing at school. K-12, all packed in a basement for 1 1/2 hours, all teachers thinking about Joplin, getting conflicting half-assed reports about how bad it is.

Kids freaking out -- little kids. I was fine during, but then afterwards it was this huge adrenalin dump release thing. So tired now.

Everything's pretty ok here, but it was pretty scary where I was. You look around at all these little kids and think "Fuck, I am responsible."

I am so tired.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Erin, so glad you and your kids are all safe. What a scary day this has been - tornadoes are frightening enough, but now Joplin is in everyone's minds, and the possibilities are all too easy to imagine. Handling being responsible for a roomful of scared kids is pretty major, too - no wonder you're tired! Take care of yourself.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Erin, I'm glad you got through it okay.

It was just rainy and overcast here today. Dark and gloomy just reminding us what was going on off to the east.

TAL just recently re-ran the Prom theme one that had the story about the prom interrupted by tornado in Hoisington.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here
