The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Sox said.

I hope you hear from them soon, Aurelia, and that we hear from Gud.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, there was an article in the Times about that Company, and the crazy rehearsals because all the people could never get there together.

STAY SAFE, tornado-istas!!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

12:09: Report of funnel cloud near KC Royals/Kauffman Stadium

Okay, that's too close to my brother's house.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

~ma going to all those around KC. I was hoping this was through for a couple days at least.

Tornadoes are so last season. Stop already.

Looks like things are clearing in KC. Tornado on the ground in Sedalia.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

~ma to the KC folks, and the other midwesterners.

Random things:

- Why did they change the shape of butter so that it no longer fits in my butter dish? Admittedly I need a new butter dish, as my kitchen hasn't been blue in more than a decatde, but I have the classic cheapskate thing where I don't want to buy something to replace something that's perfectly good.

- The male phoebe has finally found his boldness. He brought a bug to his chirping children while the dog & I were on the deck. It took him about six efforts, but he did it. The female is the one who grew up here, and she's way more familiar with me than even her mother (who I think I saw the other day, four phoebes all lined up in a row on my deck railing). Just me, though, she still shys from the SO.

- My iris is up! It's a really lovely deep shade of purple.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The TT shutting down comments made me all, parallel universe! Where there was another group, the disco ball folks, who went basically the same path as us, albeit through the Atlantic first, but then WX and then built their own. I'm curious to see what their iteration looks like.

I guess I'm okay with TT not archiving. I mean, I'm glad we have our stuff, but that was a while ago, so.
