wrod. You know what I don't love? Writing advice from people that don't know what they are talking about. At first, I was flattered, cause who doesn't love hearing that their work is awesome and should find a bigger audience? But he's got a total fantasy going on about how that happens, and what happens afterward.(Mid-list writers hustle, dude, I don't know any that get paid to contemplate...it's like a job-job, except you can wear your concert t-shirt. I'm in the relatively crap, intern, dues-paying phase...it's sad, because I started late, but...you know.) And yeah, I sort of hoped Someone would be thrilled when the EQ story came out, but I'm going to be in an anthology based on having that credit, so that's good, right? Even without agents chomping at the bit and my high school crush calling to say that on some level, he always knew I was deep. Managing expectations is an important step if I am going to find the ramp to mental health. Agents don't really need people writing them letters all "my stories...let me show you them." Right?

Okay, we're done. I did not puke on camera, but I did cry.
ita, I'm sorry.
{{Sparky}}
So sorry, ita.
I have to take it as a sick day. I pointed out I'd been working since six, and I had stuff I wanted to take care of before tomorrow, and he said, okay, half day. Hmmph.
I do want to work! I just don't want to work for free. So the laptop stays open another fifteen minutes, and then it's off and I'm going to try dozing again.
Congrats, Sparky! Crying might not feel all strong and good, but it's effective in putting across the method, so it's all good.
I think everyone should get to curl up with their towel and nap for the afternoon.
Yeah, bah on him, ita. If the work is getting done, what's the issue? You'd think he'd rather have you on the job than just out sick for those days. You'd also think he'd understand those are his options. I mean, I'm sure he'd be happier to have a completely healthy employee there all bright eyed all the time, but so would you prefer that. It's not like you're abusing the system. Argh. I hate that stuff.
Good for you, Sparky. So hard, but I'm glad you did it.
I would totally curl up with my towel and nap if I could.
Oh! I left toast in the toaster. Hmph. I am not having the most organized of days.
No napping here, but I should get to eat outside and enjoy my break there.
ita, sorry to hear the boss is being problematic, but you deserve a nap or two.
ita, was your boss suggesting you actually need another day off work? That sounds like it could be nice/supportive.
I would like to nap! Outside, where it is nice. Instead I am here.
Napping would be nice.
Maybe boss's son does have anxiety. That makes me feel a little better. He drives me crazy (and has for years) because he is constantly calling his mom about things and interrupting her-- because if she doesn't answer he just keeps calling, and then calls me.
