A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, good. I am monitoring the WC closely right now, as we have a hell of a storm right now (looks like we are under watch, but most of the really evil stuff is farther south) and I was just coming here to see if anyone knew what burb you live in, msbelle, so I could check on your city's status.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I suspect that the satellite issue will be revisited after all this crazy weather.

If we are supposed to have crazier weather patterns due to climate change, is this the right time to cut funding for weather satellites? How would that make sense?

for future reference, we are in Hurst. NE of Ft. Worth and NW of Dallas. DJ is probably getting hit with it still.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Well. I offered to help out someone I don't know very well, by doing something that's really not a big deal - I didn't offer a kidney, for fuck's sake - and now they're mad at me. I guess by now I should know better. Now I'm sad and I feel stupid.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, man, I was just reading that TNC thread on evo-psych and learned a term that I've been needing to know (bolding mine).

The inference from "X is natural" or "X is normal" to "X is good" is called the naturalistic fallacy. While not precisely related to evo psych, the converse of this argument: "X is not 'natural' [adaptive, etc.]" thereore "X is not good" shows up all the time in certain arguments against homosexuality.

Naturalistic fallacy, my new best friend term, where have you been all my life?

I suspect that the satellite issue will be revisited after all this crazy weather.

Not if Cantor has his way. Asshole.

Did I mention that my dad had cardiac surgery today? They replaced his pacemaker with a pacemaker/defrib unit. Also, he passed out on the way home from a sporting event while my mom was driving. My mom thought he had a seizure or a stroke, but it's really just ventricular tachycardia.

Sigh.

I am tired.

Sorry for the random change of topic. I can't seem to get my brain organized. I think about crap all day and I can't access buffistas at work without putting in a work password. I'm sorta missing you all.

Wait, they are mad because you offered to help with something? Someone has issues.

Today was CJ's last day of middle school. I have a high schooler now. Accckkk! To celebrate the end of school, he went out to lunch with 9 friends. All girls. I sent him a text earlier asking if he was having fun. His response? "Very". I'm in trouble, aren't I?

Cantor can go fuck himself.

If he wants a political future, he will have to deal with the opinion of those in the South - those who have been differentially impacted by natural disasters in recent years.

Suzi, Congrats on having a high schooler! Especially one who gets along with girls. It'll be good.
