Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

Won't piss anyone off, everyone got the emails when they were finally sent. I just want him to know the whole team wasn't ignoring him for 3 hours-just that in person discussions, alternate possibilities and non-cc'ed emails were flying furiously.

(also: clients is an overly formal term. It's a small and incestuous field. Which is why I got the call. Dr. So&So knows I work in archive, when he couldn't reach his usual contacts, I was next. But when Dr. So&So is on a supernova hunt in this world, all things drop off. He had awards.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's only Tuesday. Feels like an unending week. I might need to sacrifice something.

So true. I was also going to chime in with a goat. But a coworker might suffice.

If I wake up before 6, I might off myself. OTOH, out of the pool before the aqua aerobics, which means 2 lanes and serious waves.

These tornadoes are scary. Keep safe people.

I'm currently hanging out in K-Bug's dorm while she is at work. None of her roommates are home. Her graduation robes are hanging on the back of her door and I'm getting all sniffy already.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So true. I was also going to chime in with a goat.

Any mention of goat sacrifice still makes me think of Angel, with the Wolfram & Hart phone option of "To sacrifice a goat, press or say 'one'!"

Random, I know.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

The tornado warning has expired, but it is still rumbly and lightening out there. it is so dark it is hard to tell if the wind did any damage around us, but I don't think so. We got some hail, so I'll need to check my roof at some point.

mac was in the built in laundry hamper in the hallway at one point. He preferred it to being under the mattress.

At least modern tech gives up the opportunity to hide in awkward and uncomfortable places.

I have often wondered about life pre-radar, at the very least. Where I grew up, we just counted on May winds and 4 pm thunderstorms in July and early August.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I saw somewhere today that some NOAA satellites may be lost to budget cuts, reducing the accuracy of forecasting dramatically, therefore probably increasing weather-related fatalities.

Coding and Sleeping

It's only Tuesday. Feels like an unending week.

It's been a bit of a job hunting grind lately. I had a 5 hour interview with 7 (1, 2, 2, 2) different people Thursday. A two hour interview with 4 (all at once) people Friday. A two hour interview with 8 (3, 5) people Monday. Today I had a three hour interview with 8 (1, 3, 2, 2) people. I have an interview on Thursday and a recruiter trying to set one up for Friday.

I got some very positive feedback from the one on Friday and it's a place I'd like to work so job~ma would be appreciated. It sounds like they may be trying to work out an offer according to the recruiter (one of twenty) I'm working with. This one shouldn't have a surprise travel requirement.
