The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm about to have a rage blackout.

I wrote a email to my representative, who is high enough up the food chain to be making a bid for one of Missouri's Senate seats next election. I said I would take it as a personal favor if he called Cantor out in open session for not having a shred of decency or compassion.

I look forward to seeing what, if any, response I get.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'm a little in love with you right now, Anne.

eta: The tornado warnings that are going off in Kansas are all quite a ways to the west. It's really clearing off in Wichita. OKC, Norman are getting more than us.

etaa: My local tv is going back to network programming so everything must be fine.

Thanks for babysitting me. heh.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm watching the press conference from Joplin. NWS changed their rating of the Joplin tornado to an EF5 after determining that there were winds over 200 MPH.

I'm not surprised after hearing about a mile-wide, six mile-long swath. It seems a twister that wide and stable would also have hella high winds.

I don't mean to keep spamming natter but it helps me when I'm nervous.

Oh honey, don't even call it spam. God knows most all of us have had the need and the comfort from here.

Tornados are fucking terrifying and all you can do is go to ground. And not everyone can. I've been thinking about this a lot since one of the Bama twisters was right near my bro, SIL and nephews. Sure, they have a basement. A drive in basement, half above ground. 80s modular construction. The floor would just lift the fuck off.

If they end up staying in Bama (I have inside scoop on some very exciting developments, but I'm the only one in the family that knows, so until it's certain...) I'm lobbying for a saferoom... Especially if this keeps up.

It's only Tuesday. Feels like an unending week. I might need to sacrifice something.

Isn't there a number we push for the goat sacrifice? I'm thinking it may be in order.

But goats are too cute!

Hrm, may have to install the ac this weekend. Pushing 90 for several days, lows not below 70, and thunderstorms, which means it's damp. Hrm.
