I don't like vampires. I'm gonna take a stand and say they're not good.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, he was pretty freaked. He said he put a sheet over one body. But physically he`s fine, which in some ways is worse.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It's really awful, y'all. Most of the town is destroyed. A cousin from the other side of the fam is posting to FB; she's stuck there, can't get a phone signal, utterly horrible.

Hey Steph - what part of Cincinnati do you work in?

Not Steph, but I'm pretty sure her office is near Kenwood Mall. Signed, still full of Cincinnati facts 12 years after moving away.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

flea is indeed correct. I work in the Kenwood area, which is north and somewhat east of downtown. Areas near it include Blue Ash, Madeira, Montgomery, Silverton, Pleasant Ridge, and Norwood.

Why do you ask? (Please say possible visit. Please say possible visit.)

msbelle, wait. She left a new hire without adequate instructions and then was cranky you weren't princess sparklefairydust? Yeesh.

Swim swam. Theory that a cooler pool yields faster laps borne out. After a week of mediocre times, was at a normal pace tonight. Pool was significantly cooler.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Terrifying video of Joplin MO on CNN right now. The place looks like a giant stepped on it. Those poor people. I don't think it's my imagination that tornadoes are getting fiercer if not more frequent. F4 tornadoes used to be rather rare. (News lady just said she'd been covering weather and tornadoes for a long time, and she'd never seen a tornado leave this much destruction in such a wide area. 6 miles long and a mile wide.)

The Times has an interesting historical map about tornadoes and deaths from them. 1953 was a very bad year, including in, of all places, Worcester MA, which is not exactly Tornado Alley. [link]
