Exactly. It straddles the border between the Atlantic and European plates. In fact, at points on the island, you can see where the line between the two is expanding; it's a canyon in the middle of the island that is growing annually by the same rate as fingernails grow.

Seconding meara. I would not expect a letter from my doctor if a test came back with dire results: they would call me to set up an appointment to talk over it. At least, I hope they would!
