Ugh, Liese, that sounds uberstressful.
Oh yeah, they totally had a coup when I was in Venezuela! It was awesome. I bumped into an AK-47. Attached to a soldier. That was some exciting times for my parents, I tell you what. I was perfectly happy, though.
My father used to go observing at a telescope down in Chile, and was there when the revolution broke out in 1973 with one of his grad students. They were pretty safe, stuck up on the mountain, and somehow they managed to get on one of the very first flights back to the US afterward. I have a very clear recollection of large numbers of very wealthy and well dressed americans coming off the plane, and then my dad and Eric, who looked like they hadn't shaved or showered in a couple of weeks.
Why is getting rid of al your doubt the key to some great power?
Faith relies on belief. You aren't going to be shown proof of whatever in the end. Granted, it is part of why I don't have that belief, but I understand how it is an intrinsic part.
I bumped into an AK-47.
I bumped into a Secret Service agent guarding Betty Ford once. He was not pleased with me but seemed pretty accepting that I was just that clumsy and not trying to get near her.
My soldier just grinned at me. He was very very young. But I didn't know that because I was even younger. But I still have a very clear sense memory of exactly how cold the weapon was. I went home and looked up what kind it had been.
Hi everyone. Um... No earthquakes here. (Is that a spoiler? Should I be whitefonting?) Unless I slept through them. Ryan at apocalyptic levels of cuteness, but that's not a particularly recent occurrence. Besides, everyone knows that it's my older brother procreating that was supposed to herald the beginning of hell on earth.
Liese, he didn't even call? Uggh. I hope he's just getting all his flakiness out now.
My roomate and I went to a protest in France in 1995, got bored, went to the grocery store, and suddenly found ourselves behind riot police shooting off tear gas grenades.
.
It sounds like your music leader needs to learn some respect for other people's time, Liese. I hope he picks up on that asap.
Ugh, Liese, that sounds highly problematic. I hope this rehearsal was more of a hiccup than how things are going to be.
Definitely not a good sign
We have Real Orb today. I'm not sure what to do with it.
Timelies all!
Sunny here, too. Don't have any real plans today.
It's unbelievably gorgeous out.
And I have to clean house. eta: but at least I got to enjoy it with a lovely walk to the market. And fresh eastern shore strawberries, which are heaven. Had to eat a few on the way back,
