I guess I mean I envy certainty in some way. Because I know my brain just isn't wired that way. Even at my most religious phase (when I was 12), I once had a strong feeling I'd be an atheist by the time I was an adult. Which is what happened.

You know, when I believed Camping was completely convinced in tomorrow's Rapture, I kinda' felt sorry for him (well, I might have if he wasn't so obnoxious in his beliefs). But knowing he just cynically exploited his follower for gain? Well, now I hate him.

I'd order "whiskey and water" but I'm not sure what that would get me or if there would need to be further clarification. Used to be "whiskey and branch water" was a thing, but I'm not sure (a) what that was or (b) if that terminology is still in use.

Eta: I only know it from something I read as a kid in which some guy complained about how people talked about drinks and how such fanciful descriptions ought to be taken literally, that would show them.

What is branch water? I've always assumed it was something like creek water, because I've heard of small streams being called branches. But if it is, euw. I know what happens in streams.
