Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

Porch party cancelled on account of some crisis or other. Boo! And I have all this crap. May just have to throw one myself this weekend (this one had a particular celebration point and the guest of honor couldn't manage it.)

Ah well, it is damp and dreary out.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Any worldtraveleristas know anything about travel insurance?

(Not that I put this off or anything...)

Uh, my parents got it for both the Peru trip and Bhutan and Nepal. Since we were going to be hiking on scary mountains, it would have paid for you know, getting airlifted out if we fell off one. Can't remember who it was, though.

I didn't get it when I was in school in Prague.

Not much help, I know.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I wanna travel.

I wanna job as a librarian. I was just lusting after a posting at the federal jobs website for a position at the Smithsonian's American History museum, my favorite museum in the world.

I got some for my round the world trip, but didn't need to use it (and they kept emailing me forever after). I used some sort of aggregator of travel insurance on the web. But there's also a post on my fave travel blog ("View from the Wing") today about how it may not really be worth it. It really depends on where you're going and what you're getting it for. For medical stuff? For cancelations? For "my luggage got lost"? For the first, you may be covered by the country you're going to (well, it might be cheaper), and your currrent insurance may cover you. For the second, there's so many caveats, it may just be worth paying a change fee, depending on what you're insuring. The last...probably not worth it at all.

My main concern is "if I get hit by a bus and/or war breaks out and I need to be evacuated" insurance.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thank you. Thank you Erin.

I hoped the clip had Justin timberlake, but instead, I believe that was Blake Lively.
