I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, Cash, that's great.

Just watched The Good Wife. Loved the ending. Loved a lot of moments, actually.

Liese, I loved this [link] .

We're having teenage rain. Tempestuous, prone to not following through, random alternating weepy and torrential with calm. Basically, unpredictable.

God, I need to get a new battery for this laptop. It'a goddamn flaky, and with Loki around, get unplugged too frequently (dies at 80%.)

You know, I love my new MBP, but I'm not crazy about the Magsafe power cord dealie. I think it comes unplugged from the laptop port WAY too easily. Or possibly I'm very flaily and Mr. Bean when I use the thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's much better than the previous power cord, which came unplugged with a lot of difficulty, deforming itself in the process. It's why I'm on my second MacBook, primarily.

Yeah, I find it comes off easy, but I think the issue with my old laptop may be a powercord issue, so...

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Me, too. Josh charles looks like a good kisser. I like that in a person.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I was hoping it was poison glitter.

Since it seems it wasn't, I hope it was the big, chunky craft glitter that sticks to everything, is impossible to get rid of completely, and itches.

Jilli, you aspire to evil. Mostly you are just very, very naughty. Itchy glitter is mean.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm a half hour early for an off-site meeting. Bored now.

Hmm. I *did* go through 3 power cords in 6 years with the iBook. And when I first read about MagSafe, I thought the idea was excellent. But in practice it just seems like it wants to detach really easily. Although I have no comparator; maybe it comes off exactly as easily as it's supposed to.

The detach is a good thing in my house, stupid battery or not. I keep the laptop on a tv table, which I could not do with the old kind. I'd much rather the computer power down than crash to the floor. (Old one lived on the dining table, a much more secure location. And even then, had some near-misses thanks to flying cats.)
