You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

P.S. Why are people at work being so stupid?

They have taken part in the Delvian Seek, and may now help the students to achieve academically by taking on some of their stupid.

The status is NOT quo.

But...the students aren't stupid! They're the ones being understanding and nice! It's the stupid adults that are driving me batshit crazy. TINO!!!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I love that I know more than one person who knows what that means.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

What's the last thing that made you smile unexpectedly?

Baby goat nibbling my hair.

Tell me something you like about yourself right now?

That I've already packed 3 boxes!!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

1. Seabiscuit going to town on a dental chew. Until the vet appointment before this one, he didn't chew stuff like that, and his teeth were awful. Hard to say which was the cause and which was the effect, but hopefully with improving one he'll improve the other.

2. My nails! Nubar Vaso layered over Revlon Plum Attraction. I'll need to see these by the cold light of day before I'm sure I like the effect, which is somewhat subtle, but yay, sparkly!

Also, yay, rain! We're getting a good old-fashioned Navajo female rain right now and boy do we need it. Supposed to have some tomorrow too, sure hope so.

We went out on the deck to look at it (Seabiscuit wanted out, but then wouldn't go down off the deck into the rain, hee.) and the phoebe just cocked her head at us. The SO says she flees when he comes out on the deck. So she recognizes me, specifically, and lets me hang out with her. Birds are so cool!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Traditional Navajo distinguish the rain with gender. Male rain is a hard blattery rain that has a lot of water, but falls all in a rush so that the land can't receive it and it just runs off into the washes, taking topsoil with it. Female rain is a long soaking gentle rain, that in the end provides more water to the land because it falls softly and allows the land to absorb it.

I did mention how Navajo is a matriarchal culture, right? Hee.

Soft, soaking rain, yes? I vaguely remember the term...

1. Loki, of course. He's a nutball. Before that, the kids in swim lessons at the pool. So enthusiastic and bellyfloppy!

2. 54.7 sec lap average. I seriously thought I miscounted, but for once, I was fully ON the count, and watching the clock, I saw the minutes dropping. And IF I misread 39 as 38, that's an even crazier speed.

I totally had NOT seen Liese's post, honest.
