I LOVE the keypad for my front door! It is the bestest thing ever. It would only be better if I ever bought that little shelf for my front step.
But yeah, it's super nice to not be able to be locked out, and it's also great for when you need a buddy to run over and check on your dog or whatever, and he's the regular housesitter, so he has his own code. But he's getting ready to move and you can just delete his code when he goes! So easy. No worrying about spare keys floating around.
my spare keys chain is in flux- it was originally a flimsy construction and broke.
ARGH there is a car horn that keeps going off repeatedly outside my office. ALL MORNING! I'm already pretty stressy about work and it's not helping.
I love that I can let myself into the building with my cellphone so that, when I leave my keys at the office, I can still get in to find the manager. Also, I can let in the UPS guy from work!
My keyring is a bottle opener from my brother's brewpub, with their logo on it. I'm pretty sure I've never actually opened a bottle with it.
My keyring has these.
Oooh, that's pretty cool. I might need those.
It is freezing outside! And crazy windy and supposed to be scattered thunderstorms all day today and tomorrow. I hope we actually get some rain for all this.
Hmm. Maybe I should go out and bring the ladder in now if I expect to be up in the attic today. That way I won't have to tromp through mud if it does rain.
My BOW buddy that's hiking the Canyon today says it's 30 degrees and sleeting there, but they're still going down. She's crazy.
I actually have two regular keyrings. One has the two car keys on it and my aforementioned stuff and nothing else. The other one has an array of keys: house, in case of keypad emergency, work (chapel and storage), safe, file cabinet, storage unit, etc. I only need it once a week or so, so that's the one that I invariably don't have when I need.

My building does that now too!
Because I don't have a car and all the locks in my house are set for the same key, I have one key. One. In my apartment, I had four. It's kind of freaky.
I also have a key for work (it opens every lock...very fun), but it's attached to my ID tag, which is a key for the elevator. They never leave my bag.
That's really cool, megan! I had no idea that was possible.
Your friend is crazy, Liese. I just figure out why you capitalized Canyon and I'm not sure if that is more or less crazy than the canyon I was picturing.
