"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I feel like a first-century Roman who just had someone pull her aside and say quietly, "You know, I think I can trust you. How well do you know the catacombs?"

Can I just say how much I love this metaphor, and that I have friends that use and understand them?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'd give him a little more time to move from one to the other, but you don't dibs a dryer by using a washer.

Oh, I think you do, when there's only one of each machine. Eh, it was fine, although I still have another load to do tonight, but luckily, it's the stuff I don't dry.

hwæt

The curry I had for lunch was disappointingly bland.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But what if he's not gonna use the dryer? Or if you only want a dryer? That's not fair. I dis-allow that rule.

Boring cinammon raisin bagel toasted with butter.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have a smidge of milk left, so I could either barely wet my cereal or make another cappucino.

Coffee wins!

So I scrambled an oeuf with diced ham and cheese and made a sandwich on wheat toast. Satisfying and filling.

Bookstores that make my literary panties wet:

Those all look amazing but the stairway in the Portugese bookstore was particularly stunning.

If I had bajillions I'd want to own a big rambly book/comics/media store.

Of course, first I'd buy Jilli her own Goblin Market with adjoining tea room and a wicked little croquet pitch in the back.

I'm having a health-food version of a buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch -- same breaded patty, same buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing, but the roll is whole wheat, and the sides are celery and carrots! Diet food.

Breaded patties aren't diet food.

Hmm. I seem to suspect I don't agree with anyone today. I wonder what's up with that...

Because books.

Dean Winchester likes pie.

Now you can agree with one thing.

But there are no fries on the side! And did I mention the roll is whole wheat??

I agree about the breaded pattie. I would expect a "health food" verson to be a broiled, skinless chicken breast with buffalo sauce and blue cheese made with yogurt.
