Inara: I think she looks adorable. Mal: Yeah, but I never said it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We lost the bout last night in Appleton. I got goated by three tough girls and got banged around a bit but had a blast.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

A can of coconut milk plus a can of green curry paste and a pork butt in the slow cooker makes a pretty amazing 5-minute green curry. (5 minutes active cook time that it. Waiting time is about 8 hours.)

Oh man, I was just planning this week's menus, and I think this is going on it.

Have you tried putting any potatoes or veggies in with it too?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I have a 6am flight on Thursday (VEGAS!!!), and I'm trying to decide if I can make it to the plane without having coffee, because that would make it more likely that I could then sleep. Hmmm.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jesse, if you completely pack the night before -- do all the brain work in advance -- it should be possible. Knowing you can nap later may be a good motivator?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, it's the getting to the airport and dealing with the checkin and whatnot that I'm concerned about. I think it will be OK if I eat something.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For fans of Iron Man, Glee, engineering and good news...

Austin Whitney walked on Saturday. No faith healers were involved.

Yet when the paralyzed 22-year-old rose from his wheelchair and stepped across the UC Berkeley commencement stage to shake Chancellor Robert Birgeneau's hand, the crowd of 15,000 at Edwards Stadium went wild with cheers, as if witnessing a miracle.

In a way, they were.

"Ask anybody in a wheelchair; ask what it would mean to once again stand and shake someone's hand while facing them at eye level," Whitney said in anticipation of his momentous day. "It will be surreal, like a dream."

Or like putting on the Iron Man suit and acquiring super powers. A team of UC Berkeley mechanical engineers - four doctoral students led by Professor Homayoon Kazerooni - have been developing a computerized body brace called an exoskeleton they believe will be good enough to transform thousands of wheelchair users into walking people in a couple of years, and for an affordable price.

Also it must be noted that "Professor Homayoon Kazerooni" is a totally cool name!

Because books.

Congratulations to Seska and the Girl! Wishing you much happiness.

I just caught Legend on some Cinemax channel. Tom Cruise's gayest role pre- Top Gun. And gloriously OTT Tim Curry.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Extra coconut milk solved: I heated it up with some strawberries and a banana, and poured it over some gluten-free waffles. Yum! (Though sadly, teh gluten-free ones tend to fall apart much more quickly than regular...and I accidentally got "apple cinnamon" at the store instead of the buckwheat berry. But still yum)
