Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They should take someone in terrible pain and make it be tolerable. Make them able to go to the next day where they might find out why they are hurting and how to to hurt less.

I read the words...

I'm going to go to the ER early tomorrow morning. The current batch of meds hasn't worked as well recently. Doctors are leery to take my suggestion for altering it, although my migraine specialist agrees. They will not experiment with my cocktail to see what works better. My pain management doctor will not go on record with a recommendation.

I'm in pain. I don't want to be. Please help?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm thinking of asking the pain specialist this time how much it's supposed to hurt, both during and after the procedure. And then suggest they take steps to work with my resistance to pain meds to actually have me out of pain.

Please do that.

When my aunt had an accident at work (autoclave! yikes.), they were giving her some amount of pain meds that weren't at all working until they talked to my other aunt (her spouse) who let them know what she was taking regularly. So they way upped what they were giving her until it helped. Yay them, at least.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just scored 60 points using 3 of my last 4 tiles in a Scrabble-like game with Jesse.

Is it wrong that I feel like I've accomplished enough for the day?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just scored 60 points using 3 of my last 4 tiles in a Scrabble-like game with Jesse.

I'd like to hear Jesse report what she said at that moment.

I can still make a comeback! I think I have an I left....

I've been to the waxer and am off to the movies shortly. I'm just spending money today.

NO YOU CAN'T! I MADE PI AND WON

(Please understand, I usually lose, so we (or at least I) have decided it's okay to gloat when I win.)

I just realized we both probably usually lose because we both play too many games with Polgara. ::shakes fist Polgara-ward::
