Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

NPR just reported Jonathan Coulton had $500,000 in revenues last year. And since he has minimal overhead, that's almost all profit. Not too shabby!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

he he ... my mother loves hummingbirds and once we were visiting a friend of hers and she suddenly said, "oh look! a hummer!" ... I'd been hanging out in Bitches too long, so you can imagine where my mind went (yes - I am twelve)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Want some company?

Sure! If you don't mind running for maybe half a block, staggering for the next half a block, walking a bit, then trying to run again. (If you want to wait until I can get half a mile under my belt consecutively, I'll totally understand.) I was thinking of heading out ~ 7 am tomorrow.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Um, msbelle, maybe don't attack customers. But also, be careful!

Yeah, this! And also this!

You probably weren't in much danger, but I can understand how you feel. I used to work swing shift at a factory, and those machines and big empty aisles sure were creepy late with no one else in the building.

Hee. It's hard to type right now, because the Biscuit has climbed up entirely into my lap and laid his head lovingly against my chest. He is informing me that the SO promised him a walk this afternoon and it is now afternoon and where is the SO?

My hummingbird nectar is getting eaten by something, but I haven't seen a bird near it since I started putting it out a few weeks ago. Maybe I'm just not around when they are.

I bought a cheap window seed feeder too, and this is the case for that feeder. It gets emptied on an alarmingly fast basis, but I have yet to see a bird on it. And now I'm out of sunflower seed, so I need to hit the feed store this weekend.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's not on my To Do List so I can't check it off, so I'm telling y'all.

Ha. I have been known to put something on my To Do list that I've just done, merely for the ability to check it off. And also, yay, hive body!

Okay. I did stuff I was supposed to do online, but I really need to do stuff I'm supposed to do in the house.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

  • Saturday--garden like a mofo, go to work and file like a mofo, go see "Bridesmaids."
  • Sunday--my first roller derby class!!!!!, clean house, slounge, watch "Survivor" finale with friends.

In between those things, give my DH blood thinner shots and bully him into applying hot compresses to his leg.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

What are people doing this weekend?

Tonight: going away party for some friends.

Saturday: maybe helping Dad and my friend Heather do some gardening, maybe writing.

Sunday: go to a Here Have A Thing swap event, hand out with my pseudo-sibling (who's mom passed away last week).

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Dude, I'm at the same stage. I haven't run or been to the gym in ages, and any muscle I had from my job are quickly fading. Let's talk tonight.

Weekend plans:

Tonight: Smallville finale w/ Calli, amyth, and others

Tomorrow: help roommate move

Sunday: start packing, I guess? Uggh. Oh, and go celebrate my brother's birthday, he'll be in town at my parents'.

Because books.

Sometimes I put things on the calendar that have already happened. I don't know, either.
