Total change of topic: did anyone share these graphics about sex from OKCupid?
Kinda cool. I am fascinated by the one with the slider, charting age, body type, sex drive, and self-confidence.

The rough/gentle sex one makes a hell of a lot of assumptions about a lot of things. Smokers are more inclined to rough sex? In, what, Rebel Without a Cause? England is equated with gentle sex? Really?
I don't wear makeup or jewelry on a general basis. But I'm not a good representative sample.
I did get lovely handmade pearl earrings from the mom of the guest math tutor last week. They're beautiful! Then I had to hide my ears the whole week so he didn't notice I didn't have pierced ears. I suppose I could get something that converts them to clip-ons.
In terms of non-sequitor reasoning, one of the teachers at the school where we work on Wednesdays had the following exchange with one of her high school boys. "My friend likes someone, but I can't tell you who." "Then why did you start to tell me at all?" "Because you're wearing orange." Makes sense to me!
Please tell me you'll send them somewhere interesting if they still believe climate change is a hoax AND want to know where the bathroom is. Preferably where they'll experience a climate change in their pants.
This made me laugh so hard!
I want to go to the JPL open house, but instead I'm going to swim lessons, birthday party, a Big Sunday volunteer thing (YAY! I ♥ Big Sunday), a VVS Open House/Parent-Teacher conference thing.
I must share this link:
It's a bunch of photographs of awesome men's fashion ads from the 1960s and 70s. Just fabulous.
Community, how so fabulous? Seriously.
Cross-posting with Bitches to catch both msbelle and everyone else who feels good about selling stuff...
This is a question specifically for msbelle, but is posed to anyone who feels any level of competency with selling things. (I feel no such competence, thus, the request)
Should a person like myself...okay, I...be in a position that requires putting a PLAN in place to sell most of my stuff...like in the event of a move...what are the best strategies?
This has been a huge challenge to me in the past and I just can't let it get me down anymore. Practicality demands turning stuff into cash!
By stuff, I mean books, vintage fine jewelry, vintage clothes, vintage decorative stuff, a Spin cycle, vintage postcards and travel slides, a few pieces of smallish furniture, and small appliances. The miscellaneous houseware stuff will go into a yard sale.
In the past, I have been completely intimidated by ebay, struck out on craigslist and have no idea which avenues are best for which type of item.
I need a game plan.
What has worked best for you? What would you avoid?
I'm going to be around until later this evening, but will be completely away from the computer Fri-Mon...working on the PLAN.
I would deeply, deeply appreciate email at profile addy with any specific suggestions.
I'm still making my mind up about Community. Tonight is the season finale, so I have all summer to catch up on two seasons if I want, is that right?
In re: the workplace appearance discussion.
A friend of mine made a special effort to compliment a male greeter at her favorite restaurant for his obviously 'well thought out' fashion choices. "He made and effort. I was impressed!"
I really am a piker when it comes to creating a nice aspect. My appearance is massively mood-based and I can be lazy since I'm not accountable to an office culture.
Even when I was, I tended much more toward 'eccentric' than fashionable. No slave to fashion have I ever been.

That's what I'm doing! Right after I finish Mr. Show and do Better Off Ted.
