I love the visual of zombie diatoms!
I'm on a zombie kick. For the last essay assignment for my AP kids, I'm assigning them this:
Synthesizing at least three sources, write an essay in which you discuss the issues which should be most important to consider when making decisions about surviving the coming zombie apocalypse.
And I even have sources for them!
sara, I swam another mile today -- 39 minutes, but cheating with force fins.... but man, force fins get my heartrate up.
I am hellaciously tired. I hope Grace is asleep soon because I'm going to bed.
Since i'm spamming, jesse, have you seen this: [link]
I can't do fins (they freak me out) but I'm contemplating hand fin things. Cause if I keep my fingers tight, it aggravates the tendons.
Good job! I seem to be slowing lately, and I can't figure out why. Maybe my rhythm is off.
I love fins! I kept thinking "I wish I HAD actual fins, so that I could always swim this efficiently." Then my calves started burning so I reconsidered.
Plus, how would I find shoes.
Inexplicable clown shoes just don't go with everything.
My legs get lighter duty in my swim-less push, more balance and keeping the back end up, though they do get worked, and I'm fine with that (I've always moderately happy with my legs and their strength-that's just genetics. Very little fat below the hips) Everything above my legs needs the workout.
My experiences with foot fins were in open water and I just felt out of control, like I couldn't react if necessary. And that fear extends to the pool.
Inexplicable clown shoes just don't go with everything.
Explicable clown shoes, however, are the kind of classic that every wardrobe requires.
I did see that, thanks, Kat.
