That is just so creepy and horrifying.
And what is it with clergy not going to the police when someone is suspected of child molestation but suggesting counseling. I mean it sounds like the counselor notified authorities about his "problem" but the church was just going to let it slide.
His wife, who has always been a self-centered b****, left my mum a voicemail, all cool and collected, just "wanting to touch base". She probably wants the money for the latest work he did on the house.
eeps Juliebird!
Ugh, Juliebird.
The kicker is: not surprising.
when I was a kid, he was the awesomest dude to ever awesome. He made youth group so fun that my 10 year old brother, who had already sided with my mom in not going to church, wanted to join in. When I got older I realized that he hid insults in jokes, was self-centered and passive-aggressive. And I was grossed out by all the girls (from 8 to 18) in love with him, cooing over him and sitting in his lap at the beach bash in their bathing suits and thinking he hung the moon.
I can only imagine what my mother must have been thinking, with my grownup dislike for him and refusal to attend the beach bash, avoiding him at parties, and the past three years of telling her to fire his ass and get a new contractor.
Juliebird, that is so creeptastic.
(actually, I think the tipping point for me growing to hate him was when he used attending my grandfather's wake and staying at my house in Long Island as a vacation).
Juliebird, good gracious. This fool sounds like a monster.
Oh, Juliebird, that's so awful. I'm glad you were able to avoid him, but how awful for everyone.
