Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ha!

Thanks for the well-wishes. Surgery is done. Grace did fine and they gave her something better on the tail end of the procedure so there was no punching! We have to cone back for more surgery on July 19. Sigh

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay no punching! Boo more surgery.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Thanks, guys. We're all going to bed early, but that's a small price to pay. I'm glad Grace's surgery went well.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Glad Grace's surgery went well and without punching. Glad Aiden's good, and rest up, Deenafam!

In minor news, I just wanted to take a moment to observe that I am enjoying Monty Python status day on facebook way more than is reasonable.

When I was in high school, I skipped my junior year, leaving my normal class, who loved Saturday Night Live, for my ultimate graduating class, who loved Monty Python. I fit in way better with my graduating class in that aspect, because I loved Monty Python with a pure shining love.

Later in life, I threw a Monty Python party for members of my non-profit, forgetting about some of the, shall we say, more prurient scenes, causing some deeply awkward moments with my conservative religious co-workers. I just remember my buddy in the front row with his shoulders shaking trying not to laugh.

It's nice to log in and see that Grace's surgery went well and Aidan's fine. Also, a noncombative waking up kidlet is a win!

I met a new neighbor (across the alley) and walked the Loki tonight. Weather is just wonderful right now. We're planning a porch party night next thursday, hope it stays like this.

Because books.

Very good news about Aidan and Grace!

The Glee prom episode is making me want pictures of everybody's dress. And hair!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My parent's have a friend and the man who has worked on our home for the past 15 years, that I've known since I was 12 when he was my youth group leader for five years. We go to his annual Cape Cod Beach Bash every July. He is a staple of our holiday dinners and summer cookouts and birthday parties.

My mother called me this afternoon to ask if he had ever acted inappropriate with me.

OMFG.

Compassionately intolerant

A good friend of my surrogate mom is doing 17 years for molestation. A HUGE community-wide shock.

I had a bit of an odd feeling when in his home for a holiday party, but my radar didn't give me the usual level of unease.

You just never know.
