A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

In unrelated news, I have been fighting my mess of a yard this year -- although I'm afraid my efforts come to naught compared to the mighty msbelle -- and here's a blog post with pics of some of the stuff I've done so far.

I'm pretty pleased with myself, since I am a complete neophtyte who has long been convinced both thumbs were black!

Flowers! Leaf raking! Might actually be able to entertain outside this summer! Woo!

Also, my in-laws -- who are very nice -- are in town. D's bro and his toddler -- my nephew, I suppose, and THAT's still weird -- are staying with us.

I don't mind, but of course I have a metric shitton of things to write and edit and do this weekend. ARGH. (xpost with Bitches)

I should start cleaning. But I have to leave in an hour to go to the vet. Might cuddle with Loki instead. Then swim, errands THEN whole house cleaning. I may be up late cleaning....

Cuddle, then clean. Mornings are a gift.

I made pancakes for my nephew and husband -- my BIL and I assert it's too early for breakfast yet -- and the guys are downstairs watching TV, and I am trying to get my brain working and get some work done.

ACK, must take allergy pill.

Compassionately intolerant

Much peace to you and yours, Burrell. Godspeed to your MIL's spirit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The rape apologist guy got banned from IO9. Which, actually, I think was overreacting. He was a monstrous idiot and I was never going to speak to him again, but he was civil and polite and mostly stayed on sci fi topic.

But his insistence on ignoring evidence provided to him and the fact that I think he just offended people with his beliefs got him tossed by one of the member mods.

It's not that often a starred commenter I recognise gets booted. I'd even had him hearted until this discussion got started.

Go you with the garden-fu, Erin!

Wow, ita.

Calli, thanks! It's a WIP, but it's nice to see such tangible results!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The power to garden is the power to destroy. Use it wisely, Erin!

During my ultra-extra-busy-week, my maple trees spouted leaves, nearly full-grown now? On the brighter side, I have lilacs, which because the neighbor cut back said maples, have bloomed the best that I can remember.

The power to garden is the power to destroy.

Especially if I do the gardening.
