Hmm, I suppose it is a generalization, although I meant to imply the "this is a general case scenario" by the "most men part.
I guess this is anecdata from my own experience, and maybe it's colored the societal expectations many people have of women as mainly nurturers, so maybe the situations I've seen have really flown in the face of that expectation.
It should be more "Geez, when won't people learn that women are far bloodier-minded and coldly practical than is generally expected by commonly held societal perceptions of women's delicacy, when it comes down to it?"
